Tasmanian basketball legend Clint Steindl has taken on a new role as MyState Bank’s inaugural Chief Goal Setter after his retirement from professional basketball.
The former JackJumpers captain, who led the team to three consecutive playoff appearances and the 2024 NBL Championship, says he’s excited to help others set their own goals and “turn their dreams into reality”.
“I remember setting myself the goal of making the regional basketball team as a kid,” Steindl said.
“Once I had a game plan clear in my mind, I practiced for hours every single day until I achieved that goal, later setting my sights on making a professional team and doing everything I could to get there.”

MyState Bank General Manager Tim Newman said the new role would help Tasmanians create healthy financial habits and achieve their unique goals.
“Tasmanians understand the power of goals to provide motivation and show us what we are all capable of,” he said.

“Clint has proved that he can take goals and turn them into reality and as our Chief Goal Setter, he will be working with us at MyState to help our team and our customers score when it matters most.”
Clint will also work with the Tasmanian JackJumpers Junior League, which provides representative competition for boys and girls in Tasmania, through the new role.
