Four people have been charged after a shotgun was fired during an alleged armed robbery in Hobart’s northern suburbs this week.
Police say the firearm was discharged once during an “altercation over a motor vehicle” at Old Beach about 7:35am on Monday.
No one was injured and police say the people involved were known to each other.
Three people were arrested during police operations across Old Beach, Bridgewater and Gagebrook later that day.
A 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both from Bridgewater, along with a 27-year-old man from New Norfolk, are facing a raft of serious charges.

They include aggravated armed robbery, aggravated assault, recklessly discharging a firearm and possessing a firearm without an appropriate licence.
The woman and the New Norfolk man have also been charged with motor vehicle stealing.
An 18-year-old woman from Granton was also arrested as part of the investigation.
She has been charged with evading police, reckless driving and motor vehicle stealing.
All four will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court.
