Over 11,300 senior secondary students across Tasmania have received their 2023 end-of-year results from the Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification (TASC).
Minister for Education, Children and Youth Roger Jaensch congratulated the Year 11 and 12 students on their hard work and study achievements throughout the year.
He said Tasmanian students “have excelled in their studies”, with outstanding Tertiary Entrance Score results.
The TASC Outstanding Achievement Awards will be held in January to celebrate state-wide student achievement and excellence.
Among the students being celebrated will be the 12 top performers, who include, Samuel Roberts from The Hutchins School, Samuel Rein from Scotch Oakburn College, Benjamin Stankovich, Thomas Wilkins and Isabelle Gan-Pain from The Friends’ School, Oscar Tiernan from Launceston College and Shannon Kelly from St Patrick’s College.
Hobart College’s Jemima Baghurst, Felicity Jackson, Chelsea March and Fernando Brito Carvalheiro also featured in the list.
Feliciantonio ‘Felix’ Churchill from The Friends’ School received the highest ATAR score of 99.90, just below the best available of 99.95.
