Police allege the assault occurred at a Hobart store on Sunday when the teenager struck an employee in the face during the theft.

She is also accused of stealing fragrance and skincare products worth almost $500 across Hobart and Glenorchy.

Police say unfolding incidents can be reported to them on Triple Zero (000) or 131 444.

“Community members can help us keep our public spaces safe by reporting illegal and anti-social behaviour when it occurs,” police said.
