Former Home and Away star Christie Hayes has announced the arrival of her baby girl, sharing the heartwarming news on Instagram.
The Hobart radio host revealed baby Marigold May – nicknamed ‘Goldie’ – arrived at 10:05am Wednesday morning.
“The greatest joy we could have imagined, our perfect angel arrived at 10:05AM this morning and her father and I are completely and utterly in love,” she wrote.
“We wished and prayed for her for so many years and were taught that love and belief really is the answer.”
“The day my daughter was born the sunrise was even more perfect, the birds outside even sweeter, the love and joy the greatest we have ever know. (sic)”

Marigold’s arrival marks the end of a challenging four-year IVF journey for Hayes and her husband, fellow radio host Justin Coombes-Pearce.
Hayes, 38, has openly discussed her fertility struggles while hosting Hit 100.9’s Dan and Christie breakfast show in Hobart.
She announced her pregnancy live on air in May, surprising her co-host Dan Taylor with a lunchbox filled with positive pregnancy tests.
“It’s been four years in the making,” she said at the time. “You feel like you just can’t keep trying.”
The couple previously suffered a devastating miscarriage in late 2023, which Hayes chose to speak about publicly to support others experiencing similar grief.
Best known for playing Kirsty Sutherland on Home and Away from 2000 to 2005, Hayes relocated to Tasmania several years ago with her two sons from a previous marriage.
Marigold is the first child for Hayes and Coombes-Pearce, joining the family as little sister to Hendrix and Harley.
