Two women captured on CCTV may hold vital information about the final hours of a 45-year-old man whose body was found in a garbage bin behind a Hobart business, police say.
Luke Jon Telega’s body was discovered by a garbage contractor on Monday morning, behind a premises on Percy Street in Bellerive.
His death has sparked a police investigation, with detectives trying to piece together a 33-hour window since he was last seen alive.
CCTV images of two women police are keen to speak with were released this afternoon.

The first woman was seen around 7:50pm on Sunday near a shopfront on Percy Street, driving what appears to be a light-coloured Toyota Prado.
“Police believe the member of the public may have spoken with someone in Percy Street at the time and may be able to assist with inquiries,” a spokesperson said.

The second woman was spotted a short time later at about 8:05pm in a red SUV.
Police are also calling for anyone who was in the area of Percy Street, Scott Street or Cambridge Road between Sunday evening and 8am Monday to come forward.
Investigators say those people “may have seen either someone on foot or riding a bicycle”.
Detective Inspector David Gill said yesterday that Telega was last seen alive at 10pm on Saturday night.

An autopsy carried out on Tuesday found no visible signs of injury.
Police say they are treating the death as possible misadventure, foul play or a combination of both.
