Just 17 months after it first went to air, the ‘all new’ Triple M Hobart breakfast show with Woody & Tubes has been axed.

In a statement aired on Tuesday morning, Triple M Hobart Content Director Phil Bradley confirmed the departure of co-host Esther “Woody” Nicols.

“She’s decided to embark on an exciting new chapter in her career journey,” Bradley said.

“Whilst we will miss her presence, we’re thrilled to see Woody sees new opportunities and spread her wings”.

Bradley has been co-hosting the breakfast show with Andy “Tubes” Taylor since Monday August 21 while Woody was reportedly on holiday.

Woody and Tubes first hit the airwaves in March of 2023 after the departure of controversial talk-back host Brian Carlton ‘The Spoonman’.

Esther “Woody” Nicols previously hosted the popular Paul and Woody show on sister station Hit100.9.

It is understood works are underway to find a new co-host to pair with Tubes.
