The inaugural Chief Executive Officer of Homes Tasmania, Eleri Morgan-Thomas, has announced her departure from the state housing agency.
Morgan-Thomas, who has led the organisation since its establishment in December 2022, has decided to step down as the agency moves into its next operational stage.
During her tenure, Homes Tasmania has delivered 4,543 homes towards the state government’s target of 10,000 social and affordable homes by 2032.
Recent months have seen the organisation undergo structural changes, with regulatory responsibilities and system stewardship being transferred to the Department of State Growth.

“Ms Morgan-Thomas has worked hard to establish the new agency and developing the 20-year Tasmanian Housing Strategy which has a vision to end homelessness in Tasmania,” Housing Minister Kerry Vincent said.
“I thank Ms Morgan-Thomas and wish her all the best.”
