Police are investigating a deliberately lit fire that destroyed a home in Deviot, north-west of Launceston, early this morning.
Emergency services received multiple triple zero calls about 3:50am on Friday, reporting a structure fire on Deviot Road.
When fire crews from Gravelly Beach, Beaconsfield and Glengarry arrived, they found the house fully engulfed in flames.
“[Crews] are currently working to bring the fire under control and protect neighbouring properties,” the Tasmania Fire Service said just after 4am.

The blaze was later brought under control, but the house was completely destroyed.
Fire investigators have since confirmed it was deliberately lit.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them directly or call Crime Stoppers anonymously.
