The Hungry Jack’s restaurant in Glenorchy will reopen its doors today after being completely rebuilt following a fire last year.
The fast-food outlet, which burned down in August of 2024, has undergone extensive reconstruction – with many of the original staff returning to serve customers.
No injuries or major damage to surrounding properties occurred during the fire, thanks to the quick response of Hungry Jack’s staff and emergency services.
Hungry Jacks say during the temporary closure, all employees were relocated to other Hungry Jack’s outlets in the area while rebuilding works took place.

The revitalised restaurant will feature digital ordering kiosks, dual-lane drive-thru access and a refreshed playground for children.
Hungry Jack’s General Manager of Tasmania, George Chrisan, said loyal customers had been eagerly awaiting the reopening.

“We thank them for their patience,” Chrisan said.
“We know our customers have been travelling to other Hungry Jack’s restaurants in Hobart while the work has been undertaken and, like the returning staff, have been eagerly awaiting the return of Hungry Jack’s Glenorchy.”
“We are thrilled the day has come and we look forward to opening the doors with a full menu on offer,” he added.
The restaurant will tempt customers with several limited-time menu items including Spicy Chicken Ribs, the Cheesy Cheese range, and the Baconator range.

Hungry Jack’s Glenorchy will initially open at 11 AM today, before commencing its regular trading hours of 6 AM to 11 PM daily from Saturday.
