An elderly man has passed away nearly two weeks after a serious crash on the Bass Highway at Devonport.
The 86-year-old man’s wife died at the scene of the incident on Victoria Bridge on April 3, while the man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Police have today confirmed that the man has since passed away, following the couple’s nearly 70 years of marriage.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the man,” a police spokesperson said.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
