A man has been left with suspected spinal injuries after the truck he was travelling in rolled onto its side on the East Tamar Highway.
Emergency services were called to the highway near Long Reach, 10 minutes from George Town, just before 3:30pm on Wednesday.
Police said the driver of the small white Hino tray truck lost control, causing the vehicle to roll and come to a stop in the northbound lanes.
The male passenger was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
The extent of the driver’s injuries are unknown.

The highway was closed for around three hours as crash investigators combed over the scene.
Police are appealing to motorists who may have seen the truck in the area at the time to come forward.

Emergency services are at the scene near Long Reach, about 10 minutes from George Town and are reporting injuries.
Traffic is being diverted onto Dalrymple Road through to Bridport Road while the road is closed for the truck’s removal.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
