Nearly 200,000 people have viewed a new Youtube video which paints Hobart as the ‘loosest city in Australia’.

The video, which was endorsed by a local nightclub, featured interviews with intoxicated people on Hobart’s waterfront.

It was filmed in March when Australian International DJ duo Bread Gang performed at Hobart’s ‘Obar’ Observatory Bar, but was only posted on October 8.

The pair can be seen running around the Hobart waterfront, asking people what the “loosest city in Australia is”.

Unsurprisingly, most of the people interviewed agreed that Hobart was the top city, while some suggested other Tasmanian suburbs and towns.

“The loosest city in Australia would have to be Clarendon Vale,” another said.

“I’ve grown up being there for 21 years of my life and I tell you what, I’ve never seen more cars burnt out.”

A young man suggested Campbell Town in the state’s Midlands was the ‘loosest’.

“When you stop on the way to Launceston, stuff happens at that log man. That Campbelltown subway goes down. Especially the kebab shop, there’s crazy conspiracy theories about that.”

The video has been met with mixed reviews online, with some local viewers saying they are “ashamed to be Tasmanian” after watching the clip.

“The second hand embarrassment is real,” said one viewer.

“[Your] parents would be so proud of you all, not. That’s so shameful,” another said.

It follows a similar video in Hobart from the duo five years ago in 2019.
