Tasmania JackJumpers assistant coach Jack Fleming will depart the NBL club at the end of June, returning to his home state of Victoria with fiancé Alyssa as they prepare for the birth of their first child.
Fleming, who has been with the club since its inception in 2021, has played a crucial role in the JackJumpers’ development, helping establish the team’s High Performance Program and cultural foundations.
“Our time in Tasmania has surpassed anything we could have imagined coming here four years ago,” Fleming said.

“It’s been incredible, Alyssa and I have loved every moment.”
The decision to relocate to Melbourne came as the couple prioritised being closer to family ahead of their new arrival.

“The club and community have been our family, but the time has come to be with both our families in Melbourne and begin a new, exciting chapter at home,” he said.
Head Coach Scott Roth praised Fleming’s contribution to the organisation.
“Flem has been enormous for our program and we’ll miss his insight and diligence. His analytical mind and game sense have been huge for us,” Roth said.
Fleming will remain with the JackJumpers until the conclusion of the club’s free agency recruitment period in June, ensuring a smooth transition.

CEO Christine Finnegan expressed gratitude for Fleming’s service to both the club and Tasmania.
“We wish Jack and Alyssa every success for this exciting new chapter of their lives. They’ll be absolutely wonderful parents and we look forward to welcoming another JackJumpers baby to the family, albeit from afar,” Finnegan said.
