A Kings Meadows retiree has come forward as the mystery winner of a $255,000 TattsLotto prize after discovering his good fortune during his Sunday morning ritual.
The man, who held one of 20 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4565 drawn on April 19, claimed a total prize of $255,096.86.
“I like the excitement of checking my lottery tickets over a coffee on Sunday morning,” he said
“I discovered it on the weekend, and I’ve just been sitting on it ever since.”

The man’s winning ticket was purchased at Kings Meadows News & Lotto on Hobart Road but wasn’t registered, leaving officials waiting for the winner to come forward.
He plans to be conservative with his newfound wealth.

“I’m retired, and my partner is semi-retired, so we’ll look to put the prize towards our retirement fund,” he explained.
My car is an old bomb, so no doubt I’ll be upgrading that too! I’m sure we will treat ourselves to a holiday as well.”
The retiree was one of two Tasmanian winners to score division one prizes in the draw, with a Beauty Point mother also receiving what officials described as “a delightful Easter surprise.”
Six major lottery wins have delivering more than $1.7 million to Tasmanians across the state so far this year.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4565 were 28, 10, 44, 21, 19 and 14, with supplementary numbers 33 and 23.
