A 31-year-old Kingston man will face court after police allegedly found child exploitation material during a search of his home today.

The arrest follows a Tasmania Police investigation launched after authorities allegedly detected illegal downloads.

Officers from the Tasmanian Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team executed the search warrant on Wednesday and seized multiple digital devices.

The man has been granted bail and will appear in court at a later date.

“Online child abuse is a serious crime type,” police said.

“Tasmania Police, with the support of its partners, is committed to stopping these crimes and keeping children safe.”
