A Kingston man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after police discovered a significant haul of illicit substances during a vehicle stop in southern Tasmania.
Southern Road Policing officers intercepted the 30-year-old man in Huonville on Friday night, uncovering what police describe as a “large quantity” of drugs in his vehicle.
Police allegedly found multiple substances including MDMA, cannabis, methamphetamine and cocaine during the search.
The man has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and driving whilst disqualified.

He is scheduled to appear in court on 23 July to face the charges.
The interception forms part of ongoing operations by Tasmania Police’s road policing units, which operate throughout the southern district.

A Tasmania Police spokesperson said these operations serve a dual purpose.
“Our road policing officers operate across the district to reduce serious and fatal crashes, and target those drivers believed to be involved in drug trafficking and other serious offences,” the spokesperson said.
