A large shark has been spotted lurking in Georges Bay at St Helens on the east coast.
Police said the 4-5 metre shark was sighted near the Scout Shed on Monday afternoon.

Authorities have assured there is no immediate danger to the public, but have advised people in the area to be cautious.
“People are advised to act accordingly in the area,” a police spokesperson said.
Police also issued a shark warning near Little Swanport on Saturday.
