The Liberals have pledged to expand women’s health services in the state’s north if re-elected, focusing on reducing travel burdens for patients seeking specialised care.
The election promise includes investment in The Bubble, a specialist women’s health clinic, to broaden services available to women in northern Tasmania.
This expansion follows recent funding for a state-of-the-art surgical robot at the Launceston General Hospital to treat endometriosis, expected to be operational later this year.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff said the partnership aims to improve healthcare accessibility for women and families in the North and North West regions.

“This critical clinic provides essential services to women and girls of all ages, from antenatal care to pelvic health services and treatment of gynaecological conditions, as well as management of menopause symptoms,” Rockliff said.
“Our partnership with The Bubble will enable them to expand the services they provide Tasmanian women, as well as attract more doctors and staff to the region,” Rockliff said.
