A man accused of attempted murder after another man was allegedly shot at a property in Hobart’s northern suburbs earlier this year has appeared in court.

Sam Graham Sokolski, 29, appeared in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Wednesday over the alleged shooting at Calvert Crescent in Herdsmans Cove on January 18.

The victim suffered serious injuries to his head and neck but survived.

Sokolski is facing 26 charges in total, including firearms and drug offences.

The charges include possessing firearms and ammunition without a licence, possessing a shortened firearm and possessing a controlled drug.

Police allege Sokolski and another person were involved in the shooting.

Investigators previously said everyone involved knew each other and that the incident was targeted.

Sokolski is due to return to court on December 9.
