A man and two teenagers have been charged after allegedly going on a burglary spree in Tasmania’s north-west before stealing a car and using stolen bank cards to commit fraud in Launceston.
The 23-year-old and two 16-year-olds, all from George Town, were arrested following several break-ins reported in Devonport last weekend.
Detectives allege the trio stole a motor vehicle after the burglaries and drove to Launceston, where they used stolen bank cards fraudulently.
The three have been charged with burglary, motor vehicle theft, fraud and related offences.
They will face court at a later date.

In a separate investigation, a 26-year-old Devonport man has been charged over a series of business burglaries in the town on Monday and Tuesday.
Police searched a Devonport property and located items they allege were stolen during the break-ins.
Detective Inspector Michelle Elmer urged people to come forward with any information about criminal activity.
“If you have any information that could help protect our community from criminal activity, please contact police on 131 444,” she said.
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
