Two George Town men have been charged after allegedly attempting to steal copper wiring from the Bell Bay power station overnight.
Police were called to the site around 9:15pm on Tuesday following reports of two men trespassing on the premises.

Officers arrested the pair as they tried to flee the scene.
A 30-year-old man was found in possession of a shortened firearm, police said.
He has been charged with stealing, trespass and firearms offences.
He was detained to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at 11:30am today.
A 31-year-old man has been charged with stealing and trespass.
He will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on May 27.
