The incident followed an altercation with another man, in which a dog was kicked, police said.

The suspect, described as being around 180cm tall with a skinny build, brown hai  and wearing a white bandana, dark clothing and white sneakers, then fled the scene in a blue Holden Commodore.

A white Holden Rodeo dual cab with a silver tray also left the scene around the same time, driven by a man around 177cm tall with a heavy build and unkept hair, police said.
