Man hospitalised, car left ‘wrecked in paddock’ after Railton Road crash

A young Tasmanian man is facing a “long and challenging” recovery after a crash that left his vehicle wrecked in a paddock.

Rhyse Forbes was rushed to the Launceston General Hospital with moderate injuries on October 18 after his car left Railton Road and rolled multiple times.

His brother, Kayden, has since started a GoFundMe fundraiser to support Rhyse during his recovery.

“His car tragically flipped multiple times before landing in a nearby paddock,” Kayden wrote.

“Thankfully, he survived, but he is currently hospitalised and facing a long and challenging recovery.”

He said his brother was on his way to work when the crash near Latrobe occurred.

“Being unable to work during this time has created immense stress and uncertainty, adding to the challenges he is already facing,” he said.

“It’s moments like these that remind me of the incredible person he is, always putting family first and bringing joy to those around him.”

Tasmania Police have not revealed the cause of the crash.
