Alexandra Barclay, 70, died in hospital after her motorcycle collided with a ute towing farm machinery on December 26.

Barclay was airlifted to Launceston General Hospital in a critical condition, but later died from her injuries.

Lindsay has been charged with causing death by negligent driving.

Police allege he failed to keep a proper lookout, did not give way to traffic on Woolmers Lane and failed to avoid the collision.

It is further alleged he did not drive with reasonable care and created an unavoidable obstacle for other road users.
