Man rescued from cliff at Launceston’s Cataract Gorge

A man has been rescued after he became stranded on a cliff face at Launceston’s Cataract Gorge this afternoon.

The man, who was walking the Zig Zag track, became trapped around 1:30pm on Thursday after deviating from the ‘well-established’ track, Police say.

Specialist teams assisted the man down from the cliff and into a police boat where he was taken to shore and assessed for minor injuries by paramedics.
