A man is in hospital with serious injuries after his car slammed into a concrete culvert in Hobart’s northern suburbs last night.
Police said the 48-year-old was driving his blue Mitsubishi Lancer through Honeywood towards Brighton around 5pm on Tuesday when the vehicle left the road.

He was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment.
The crash closed Briggs Road between Tianari Drive and Cove Hill Road for several hours while investigators examined the scene.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
“Anyone with information or relevant dash cam footage is asked to contact police,” a spokesperson said.
