Methylamphetamine and cannabis seized in Ulverstone drug bust

An Ulverstone man has been charged with trafficking and other drug offences following a raid on a home in the north-west coast town.

The Western Drugs and Firearms Unit allegedly found 28 grams of methylamphetamine and 450 grams of cannabis during the search of the property on Wednesday.

A .22 firearm was also seized during the investigation.

The 34-year-old man will appear in the Burnie Magistrates Court at a later date.

“Distribution of illicit drugs is harmful to our community and police are committed to targeting those who engage in these activities,” a spokesperson said.
