Metro bus rips wheel from car in peak-hour Hobart CBD crash

A Metro bus has ripped a wheel from a car in a peak-hour Hobart CBD crash this afternoon.

Debris scattered across Campbell Street indicates that the bus and Range Rover collided just before the intersection with Liverpool Street.

Police say the “minor multiple-vehicle crash” occurred shortly before 5:30pm and has resulted in the closure of the intersection.

Passengers on the bus at the scene told Pulse that they felt shaken but unharmed.

6:05pm, Monday 6: The intersection has since been cleared and is now open to traffic.

The cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
