Two more boys have been charged over the alleged assault of a teenage boy in Hobart’s CBD, bringing the total number of youths facing charges to five.
A 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy are the latest to be charged following the incident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon, Tasmania Police confirmed.
The 14-year-old faces charges of aggravated robbery, stealing, injuring property, trespass and unlawfully tampering with a motor vehicle, while the 13-year-old has been charged with aggravated robbery, injuring property and stealing.
Both boys have been bailed to appear in the Hobart Youth Justice Division in August.

Police allege a 14-year-old victim was assaulted and had his iPhone stolen during an altercation at Mathers Lane in Hobart’s CBD at approximately 2:05pm on Wednesday.
CCTV footage captured the aftermath showing a group of up to eight youths fleeing down Criterion Street. The footage allegedly shows one youth hiding the stolen iPhone under a car wheel before another retrieved it and smashed it on the ground.

Three other youths had previously been charged in relation to the incident.
A 14-year-old boy appeared in court on Thursday night facing multiple charges including aggravated robbery and destroying property.
A 12-year-old boy was bailed to appear in the Hobart Youth Justice Division in August on charges including aggravated robbery and common assault.
Another 14-year-old boy will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
