Updated – Tuesday, 12:20am: A motorcyclist has died in hospital following a crash in Hobart’s northern suburbs on Monday night.
Emergency services responded to reports of a serious motorcycle accident at the MyState Bank Arena carpark near the Brooker Highway in Glenorchy at approximately 9pm.
The rider, who was critically injured in the single-vehicle crash, was rushed to the Royal Hobart Hospital but died shortly after arrival.
Forensic officers and crash investigators attended the scene on Monday night to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A police spokesperson confirmed the crash involved only the motorcycle and no other vehicles.
Authorities are now preparing a report for the Coroner to determine the exact cause of the crash.
