Multi-vehicle crash on Southern Outlet brings Hobart traffic to standstill

A multi-vehicle crash on the Southern Outlet is causing widespread traffic disruption across Hobart this evening.

Police are responding to the collision on the road heading towards Kingston just before Mount Nelson.

Traffic has banked up along the Southern Outlet, extending through Davey Street to Brooker Avenue.

The congestion has also spread to Macquarie Street and surrounding roads.

“Motorists are asked to avoid the area or anticipate delays until the scene is cleared,” police said.

“At this stage details of injuries are not yet known.”
