Updated 6pm: Two men have been arrested following a police evade across Hobart’s eastern shore that left a member of the public with injuries and a police vehicle damaged.
The driver of a white Mitsubishi Outlander allegedly evaded police on South Arm Road in Rokeby around 3pm on Thursday.
The vehicle was reportedly driven dangerously and continued to evade police across the eastern shore, colliding with another vehicle in the process.
A spokesperson for Tasmania Police said significant police resources were deployed to the incident.
They said two men, a 31-year-old from Rokeby and a 27-year-old from Granton, were taken into custody shortly before 4pm.
The member of the public involved in the collision sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
A police vehicle was also damaged in the incident.
The incident followed an earlier evade that occurred on Lockhart Street in Gagebrook around 11am.
The driver of that evading vehicle allegedly fled on foot, prompting a large-scale search involving police resources, a helicopter and drones.
Police are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.
All roads closed have since reopened.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a man wearing a balaclava driving a white vehicle recklessly, following an earlier police evade near Gagebrook.
Police were seen racing through suburbs across the Eastern Shore this afternoon, supported by the rescue helicopter.
Police say road closures are still in place at Bligh St and Gordons Hill Road, Ross Ave and Gordons Hill Road, and Gordons Hill Road and Cambridge Road.
