Someone in Tasmania’s north-west is sitting on a $1.26 million lotto win and has no idea.
The mystery ticketholder scored $1,260,098.55 in Saturday night’s TattsLotto draw 4661, one of five division one winners nationally.
But because the ticket wasn’t registered, officials have no way of contacting the winner.
The winning ticket was purchased at Centre Newsagency and Lotto in Devonport.
Store owner Sourav Kumar said his team was thrilled.

“We’re stoked. It’s hard to wrap our heads around the fact we’ve sold two division one tickets in just six months,” he said.
“We’ve kicked off decorating the shop and spreading the winning news to everyone who walks in.”
“Our customers are going to be chuffed when they hear about it!”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she hoped the winner came forward soon.
“Our elusive winner is likely oblivious to the fact they won more than $1.2 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw,” Hobdell said.
“We’re encouraging anyone who purchased a TattsLotto ticket from Centre Newsagency and Lotto to check their tickets today.”
The winning numbers were 27, 20, 11, 16, 45 and 43. The supplementary numbers were 39 and 22.
