A Tasmanian has won almost $900,000 in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw but remains unaware of their newfound fortune as lottery officials have been unable to contact them.
The mystery winner of $884,118.73 held one of six division one winning entries nationally in draw 4551 on March 1.
Their golden ticket was purchased at Wynyard Newsagency on Goldie Street.
Team member Aneeka Hall said she was “very excited” to hear her outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
“Our community will be ecstatic for our division one winner and I’m sure they’ll be happy to hear a major lottery win has landed in Wynyard,” she said.
“It’s been 13 years since our last division one win which was a $10 million win in Oz Lotto.”
“We’ve been on the edge of our seats waiting to sell another and couldn’t be happier to have done so now.”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said despite multiple attempts to contact the winner, their calls have gone unanswered.
“I was ready to reveal the life-enhancing news to Tasmania’s newest division one winner earlier this week, but sadly whenever I called the number provided, it just rang out and went straight to message bank,” she said.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4551 were 13, 11, 37, 12, 3 and 6, with supplementary numbers 44 and 2.
