The Hobart City Council have received a development application for a new adult shop on one of the CBD’s busiest streets.
If approved, @adultshop.com could be coming to 93 Liverpool Street next to MyMac in the coming months.
The chain describes itself as ‘Australia’s largest adult store’ and has existing stores on the mainland, as well as Moonah and Launceston.
Plans for the outlet include “tasteful window displays with no sexually explicit products,” and an entry wall to “restrict view into store from street”.
Signage will also be erected on top of the previous tenants on the exterior of the building.
The proposal does not include any demolition, alterations or other modifications to the ground floor and is currently open for representation until August 8.
