Students and staff at Moonah’s Bowen Road Primary School have moved into brand new classrooms, replacing facilities destroyed by fire more than two years ago.
The $2.3 million project features two classrooms for Years 5 and 6 students, a multi-purpose space and student bathrooms.
Students recently had time to explore and settle into the new building, ahead of the start of term two.
Education Minister Jo Palmer said the school community had come together since the fire in late 2022.

“The school’s students and staff have shown amazing resilience following the fire, and they deserve these fantastic new facilities,” Palmer said.
“With students recently moving into the newly-completed building, they are ready to enjoy the space in term two.”

MANA Architects designed the new classrooms in collaboration with the school and project team, while Fairbrother Construction completed the building works.
