Arts Minister Madeleine Ogilvie said the funding will support owners and custodians of heritage-listed places to undertake restoration and activation activities.

“This funding is in addition to the $1.1 million already distributed to 31 recipients across the state during the first round of the grants,” she said.

Restoration and activation activities are funded by the grants

Small grants of between $5,000 and $20,000 are available for owners to preserve, repair or restore their properties where the heritage significance might be at risk.

Larger grants of between $20,000 and $200,000 are available to support heritage owners, skills development organisations and community groups.

Arts Minister Madeleine Ogilvie expects high interest in the second round of grants

“The first round of grants proved popular among Tasmanian heritage property owners and the second round of grants is expected to be no exception,” Ogilvie said.
