New Norfolk man arrested after ‘neighbour dispute’ escalates to multiple gunshots

A New Norfolk man has been arrested after allegedly firing “multiple gunshots” during a dispute with his neighbours on a street in the outskirts of the town overnight.

“Multiple calls” were received from concerned locals in the area following the disturbance near Benjamin Terrace and Fitzgerald Crescent around 9:45pm on Sunday.

Police say officers spoke with the occupants of two residences “identified as being involved” in the incident.

A 28-year-old was arrested shortly after and is currently assisting police with their investigation.

There were no reported injuries, with police confirming that everyone involved was known to each other.
