New ‘unofficial’ Tasmania Devils AFL team theme song revealed

A new ‘unofficial’ theme song has been created for the incoming AFL Tasmania Devils team, courtesy of a band from the United States.

The North Texas Devils, a team in the USAFL, have been using the old Tasmanian VFL logo and a befor several years.

Tasmania’s Chilli FM Breakfast hosts Adam and Issy tracked down the band behind the North Texas Devils theme song, The Feeble Singers, and asked if they could use it.

“He said no,” Issy said.

“He said, ‘Absolutely not. I’m going to make you a whole new song.'”

The band debuted the new track on the radio show on Thursday morning.

“If you love it, tell Richo, tell Riewoldt, tell everyone and Matt’s encouraging feedback too,” the hosts said.

“We personally love it, so we’re on board for it.”

The song centres around the Tasmania Devils’ hunt for premiership glory.

“The Devil’s are hungry, we’re ready to frenzy, so hear us scream, hear us shout… The Devils are never in doubt, in Tassie we believe,” the song signs.
