Over $17,000 raised for family of young farmer after fatal Woolnorth crash

More than $17,000 has been raised for the family of a young north-west farmer who lost his life in a crash near Woolnorth last month.

Vincent Curtain, who was in his 20s, passed away in the early hours of January 31 on West Montagu Road.

His sister, Ella Curtain, described him as a “lovable larrikin with a cheeky grin” who embraced life to the fullest.

A natural athlete, Vincent excelled in football, tennis, basketball, golf, hockey and cricket.

A passionate Sydney Swans supporter, he won numerous best and fairest awards playing for the Redpa Football Club.

“Vincent was a devoted partner and father and his passing has left a void that cannot be filled,” Ella wrote on the GoFundMe.

She said his partner Bonnie and two-year-old son Renley “are now facing the challenges of adjusting to life without him”.

“Any donations will go directly to supporting them as they navigate this painful journey,” she added.

Police are investigating the crash and will prepare a report for the coroner, who will release their findings at a later date.
