A male pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck in Burnie on Tasmania’s north-west coast this afternoon.
Police say the serious crash on the Bass Highway occurred around 2pm today, with the road around the scene still blocked.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and obey diversions in place on Bass Highway, Wilson Street and Labrooke Street.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
