Pedestrian hit by vehicle on Main Road in Glenorchy near Northgate

A pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle on Main Road at Glenorchy outside the Northgate shopping centre.

Police are currently at the scene of the crash.

The injured pedestrian is being transported by ambulance to the Royal Hobart Hospital for medical treatment.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

Main Road traffic is being affected while emergency services work at the scene.
