A person has been rushed to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries after a crash in the state’s north-west this morning.
The two-vehicle collision happened on Chapel Road at East Sassafras about 7:45am on Friday.

Paramedics treated two people at the scene, police said.
One person suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for urgent treatment.

A second person was also treated at the scene, though the extent of their injuries has not been released.
Police closed Chapel Road between the Bass Highway and Valley Field Road for about five hours while emergency services cleared the scene.
Crash investigators spent the morning examining how the collision occurred.
