Person suffers serious injuries after motorcycle and car collide at Ravenswood intersection

A person has been seriously injured after a collision between a car and motorcycle at a Launceston intersection this afternoon.

Emergency services are responding to the crash at the corner of Ormond Street and Faulkner Road in Ravenswood.

Police have closed the intersection while they investigate the circumstances of the collision.

“The road is blocked,” police said. “Motorists are asked to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.”

“At this stage one person has reportedly sustained serious injuries.”
