Police have charged two men with multiple firearms and property offences following a significant seizure of stolen items and weapons in the state’s north.
Officers from Taskforce Raven executed a search warrant at a Rocherlea property on Friday, uncovering an arsenal of illegal items including stolen firearms, a 22-Magnum handgun, chainsaws, power tools and portable generators.
A 47-year-old Rocherlea man is facing 14 charges related to firearms offences and possessing stolen property. He has been released on bail to appear in Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.
A second man, aged 40 from West Launceston, has been charged with 14 offences including firearms and drug-related crimes. He remains in custody after being remanded by authorities.

The raid, conducted on November 21, forms part of ongoing efforts by Tasmania Police to crack down on illegal weapons and stolen property.
Investigating officers are now working to reunite recovered items with their rightful owners.
