The injured pedestrian has been taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with “non-life threatening” injuries.

Earlier: A pedestrian has been injured after they were hit by a vehicle on Sandy Bay Road this afternoon.
Police say the collision occurred outside the University of Tasmania campus around 4:30pm on Tuesday.
The road has been closed between York and Earl Streets while police investigate the circumstances of the crash.
The pedestrian is currently receiving medical attention at the scene.
“Motorists are asked to avoid the area until the scene is cleared,” a spokesperson said.
