A search involving police drones and a helicopter is continuing on Hobart’s eastern shore this morning after a 63-year-old man disappeared on Thursday afternoon.
The man, who was last seen near his Rokeby home at around 4pm yesterday, requires urgent medication for a medical condition, prompting serious concerns for his welfare.
Police have deployed significant resources in the search, including search and rescue officers and uniformed patrols. Drones were used throughout the night.
Tasmania Police said the missing man was wearing black trackpants and a black top when last seen.
He can be identified by a distinctive walking style with a “shuffle and forward-leaning posture”, police said.
