A vehicle allegedly stolen from a North Hobart car yard earlier this year has been found at a property in the Derwent Valley.

The Toyota RAV4 was one of five vehicles – including a Holden ute, Ford Falcon, BMW and Volkswagen Tiguan – taken in the early hours of May 12.

Police said the car was recovered at a Magra address, along with nearly $150,000 worth of other property also believed to be stolen.

That haul included a firearm, several other vehicles, a trailer, a generator and around a tonne of fuel.

Illicit drugs were also seized during multiple searches across the Montrose and Derwent Valley areas.

As a result, detectives have charged a 36-year-old Magra man with several offences relating to stolen property and firearms.

He is expected to re-appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court in September.

Police say four of the five vehicles stolen from the car yard have now been recovered.
