Officers from the Northern Drugs and Firearms Unit intercepted the vehicle around 3:30pm and carried out a search.

During the search, police found 78 grams of methylamphetamine, commonly known as ice, allegedly stashed in the man’s undies.

He was also found to be in possession of cash, which police believe was obtained through criminal activity.

The man was bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court in August.
